Theatre history in Argentina dates back to colonial times, but its peak and current importance is a consequence of the creation of the main theatres in the end of nineteenth century, for example, Colon Theatre, Cervantes Theatre and Nuevo Coliseo Theatre, that offer the public the most varied and the highest theatre level in their plays.
Argentine literature accompanied the growth of worldwide national theatre, where actors, directors and authors shine on stages all around Europe. At present, Eduardo Pavlovsky, Javier Daulte y Rubén Szuchmacher are proud representatives of argentine theatre all around the world.
