Banks
Argentina’s Central Bank is the country’s main banking and financial organization. It offers fully updated information on public and private banks, exchange houses, reciprocal covenant organizations, financial houses, and trust funds nationwide. The Central Bank stands as a state’s autarkic organization, whose prime and fundamental mission is to preserve the value of the currency. The framing and implementation of currency and financial policies is not subject to the Executive’s orders, indications or instructions.
Argentina’s National Bank is the main public banking organization which promotes and supports foreign trade, and especially, encourages the export of Argentine goods, services and technology. The BICE (Investment and Foreign Trade Bank) is a second-level public bank which offers mid and long-term loans aimed at productive investment and foreign trade.
Companies
Argentina’s three main enterprise associations are: the UIA (Argentine Industrial Association), the AEA (Argentine Enterprise Association) and the CGE (General Confederation of Economy). Each of them groups different enterprise branches together according to size: multinationals, big Argentine corporations and small and medium companies. Furthermore, company categories are classified under regional and national chambers which aim at fostering commercial links abroad.
