
Organized by the Export Foundation to expand exchanges with China, 20 Argentine universities will travel to aim that objective. The international education market in our country grew 140% and generated an income of 213 million dollars per year.
The choice of Argentina as an educational destination for foreign students is a growing trend that also promotes the economic development of the local education market. Every year, Argentina receives 24 thousand foreign students spend about $ 213 million. Our country ranks second in Latin America after Uruguay, with a higher rate of foreign students. In this framework, the Exportar Foundation organized an Education Workshop in Beijing with the aim of deepening and expanding exchanges with China.
The meeting, which takes place from 15 to April 17, provides for participation in APAI 2009 (Asia - Pacific Association for International Education) to be conducted simultaneously in the same city, and that is one of the most important events for the industry of education.
The Argentine educational entities involved include: University Center of Languages, Faculty of Economics, University of Economics, Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), University of Business and Social Sciences (UCES), Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI) , Universidad Nacional del Comahue, UNLaM, Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero and the Secretariat of University Policy.
For this edition of the APAI is expecting around 800 delegates from over 30 countries. The presence at this event can be part of one of the largest concentrations of industry and influential educators and universities in the world, providing an effective platform to establish contacts with institutions around the world.
International students in our country grew 140% in a year from 10,000 in 2007 to 23,737 in 2008. In general, 59% studying for career grade and 31% graduate. It is estimated that 2012 will be 90,000 students in Argentina, who made charges of $ 810 million annually.
