
From May 1st, the largest university in the country will have a constant registration system at all its locations in the CBC. The objective is to facilitate university entry and strengthen the unrestricted entering.
The registration system continues to Common Basic Course (CBC) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) will allow candidates to begin the process of registration at any time of year and the start made the next semester. Until now, the recording was done only once a year, from October to November, and following a schedule of names of letters. This new method, which comes into operation on 1 May, aims to facilitate the process of admission to university, further strengthening the mechanism of unrestricted income of higher education system, and simplify the transition between secondary and higher education.
UBA offers 108 courses in 13 degree colleges. Each year more than 50,000 new students. The CBC is the initial cycle of all university courses taken in this institution and provides an integrated and interdisciplinary training, trying to develop critical thinking, learning methodologies and contributing to an ethical, civic and democratic. It consists of 6 compulsory subjects: 2 are common to all careers, other 2 are shared by the direction and remaining 2 are specific to the chosen career.
The CBC is delivered in 14 locations and a sub-headquarters, scattered around the city and the province of Buenos Aires. For registration, which takes place at the headquarters, it is necessary to introduce the National Identity Card and a photocopy of their current first two sheets, a 4x4 photo and preferably color-date, documentation of secondary education (photocopy of the title or analytical legalized by UBA record or certificate of title pending) and in the case of work, proof of it.
