Tango: A three-century journey

A special multimedia program is focused on the undisputed survival of Argentine music. Renowned composers, interpreters and dancers will be interviewed to voice their opinions on this issue.


This multimedia program includes an article about the World Museum and the National Tango Academy and a Spanish-English glossary comprising terms usually used in the world of tango, besides the videos and photographs.

This special multimedia program will go through the 2X4 rhythm history and its undeniable current success at a worlwide level. An interview, images and three videos will be shown to approach this rhythm.

Musicians of the stature of Leopoldo Federico, Nicolás Ledesma, Julio Pane and Ramiro Gallo; singers such as Susana Rinaldi, Adriana Varela and Valeria Lynch and the dancers Laura Fidalgo, Hugo Patyn and Soledad Blusa will speak about the special features of this genre going far beyond countries´ frontiers and being welcome all over the world. Its Argentine traits, the magic, and passion it arouses, the sensuality of its dance and the power of its music
are just some of the reasons these tango artists refer to in an attempt to explain this cultural phenomenon.

Argentine tango, a passionate experience
A new multimedia special that goes through the typical Argentine tango dancing sites: the tangueria, the theater, the milonga, and the dance academy. It features photos, videos, audio, and all the information necessary to get acquainted with the 2x4.
