The Argentine Rally

The Argentine Rally 28th edition, which will be the fourth round of the FIA World Rally Championship, will take place between March 27-30.

The Argentine Rally accounts for the World Rally Championship´s fourth edition. 62 pairs of drivers have already enrolled at the starting line, with a total number of six different automobile makes and over 24 countries participating in this event.

This competition will be held in the province of Cordoba, and the city of Villa Carlos Paz will be the Rally epicenter. Among the Argentine participants, the “Munchis” team, which will be launching two Ford Focus RS WRC for its two formations headed by Federico Villagra, known as a top driver, and his co-driver Luis Pérez Companc clearly stands out.

The Cordobes itinerary implies a big challenge for competitors to meet as they will be facing stretches of land where the power of vehicles gets exposed to the lack of air and uneven lands, therefore demanding an extra effort from the car´s body and suspension which get repeatedly bumped.

As the climate is highly wet, road surfaces become slippery and take heedless drivers by surprise. Moreover, the large number of river fords definitely poses a significant risk. Nevertheless, watching a world class vehicle plunging into a water-filled pool is undoubtedly regarded as one of the most outstanding moments in all the rally season.
