The wine in Argentina is synonym of quality, prestige and good taste. Its flavor, texture and scent travel around the world. But this is not all because the vine industry is also one of the ways that the sector has to be present in the world.

In this sense, the Argentine wine producers proposed to the Government a Strategic Plan in order to position the industry of Argentine wine in a strategic place of the national economy.
“This is a wealth generator sector and it has also an importance for the sustainability of the society”, said José Molina, the vice president of the Argentine Vine Corporation (Coviar). In order to confirm this declaration, Coviar proposed to the Government a Strategic Plan in order to position the Argentine wine industry among the main industries of the world.
The exporting offer of wine is still being dominated by the old world, mainly due to deeply root tradition and attributes such as sophistication and “savoir faire” (France contribute in this region with 18%). That is to say, they represent the 62%of the exports. The new world represents the 25% of the world offer for export. In this region, Argentina contributes with the 2%.
According to this context, the idea of the experts is to obtain credit and measures of incentive for the redevelopment of small and medium producers. Eduardo Sancho, Chief executive Manager of Coviar, said that in 2010 “The exports will reach the 800 million dollars” and to be able to be the middle step to reach the 2,000 millions for 2020. The entity presented this year a market diligence to report the magnitude and potential of the national wines.
