Over 90,000 people cast a vote to select Córdoba’s man-built wonders via internet and text message voting.
With 7,319 votes, the De los Capuchinos Church, situated in Nueva Córdoba, a district in the capital city, was the most voted for building; followed by La Cañada with 5,808 votes, the Road to Altas Cumbres with 5,232, Palacio Ferreira with 4,940 votes, the Manzana Jesuítica with 4,570, the Tunnels of Taninga with 4,474 and Córdoba’s Cathedral Church with 4,188.
This final selection was made out of an initial list of 30 can’t-miss places in the Argentine province. The aim was to revalue the enormous architectural, engineering, cultural and historical heritage of Córdoba and Argentina.
Córdoba’s 7 natural wonders contest is now underway. Both competitions are organized by the province’s tourism bureau.
