Litoral

Long paths maker their way through a rich and generous jungle, while the intense green contrasts the red colour of the soil.


For many locals, life has the pace of the swellings and descents of the river, because the have learnt to live on what water has to offer. Fishing, dams, river transport and rice fields are only some of the tourist and economic activities that take place in the Litoral, where the most fertile lands are used for cultivation and the lush forests are still restful. 



Litoral´s Provinces
This province pays tribute to the etymology of its name: beautiful. It is regarded as an ecotourism paradise due to its lush forest area escorting the rivers’ course and the fact it is populated with the most unique types of fauna species and birds.
Surrounded by rivers and full of unique and abundant flora and fauna, Chaco stands as a bio-diverse reserve of world interest. Combining strong indigenous and European traditions, the region bears a fascinating character of its own.
The great Iguazú Falls makes it one of Argentina’s main tourist destinations. The subtropical jungle and the Jesuitical ruins are some of the other reasons to visit this province colored by its red soil and green vegetation.
This province is a delicacy to the senses: mild and pleasant weather, the orange shades of its sunsets, the aroma of freshly baked “chipa” and roasted fish, chamamé´s friendly melody and omnipresent waters.
Surrounded by Paraná and Uruguay rivers, this versatile province offers not only beaches, palm trees and fishing, but also historic circuits and hot springs. It holds the most famous carnival in the country and it is an important agricultural center.
It is a synonim of natural and cultural richness. Its multiple landscapes, historical sites, culture and economic activity make it different from the rest of the provinces. Rosario, one of the most important cities in the country is located there.

Litoral´s can´t miss
They are succeeding in being one of the world´s 7 nature wonders. In the border between Argentina and Brazil, they are made of 275 drops that go as high as 70 mts.
Iberá Estuaries
With an extension of 1,400,000 hectares, this wetland system stands as one of the largest in the world. This natural reserve is home to water plants, yacare caimans, lobitos de río (a South-American beaver), gray foxes, wild cats, tortoises and snakes.
Culture, architectonic beauty and large parks are blended together in this Argentine city located along the shore of the stunning Paraná River, with its welcoming islands and beaches.

Cataratas del Iguazú
