Bariloche
It is the most popular ski destinations in the country, and the one chosen by students to celebrate the end of secondary school. Situated on the shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake, surrounded by mountains and hills, it offers wonderful views all year through.
Bariloche is one of the most important icons in Argentinean tourism. Chosen not only by students but also by many Brazilians, San Carlos de Bariloche in Río Negro Province, makes people fall in love with its landscapes and because of the great variety of activities tourists can find.
Weather:
The climate is continental cold with a dry season. In summer, days are warmer and sunny (18º C with maximum temperatures of 29ºC and minimum of 9ºC). in the fall, days are cool and temperature varies from 4ºC to 13ºC. in winter, days are very cold and it snows (between 8ºC and -10ºC). in spring there are cool days that start to be longer. (7ºC to 20ºC).
When to get there:
Summer is the ideal time for adventure tourism and to practice all kind of water Sports. In spring and fall, vegetation and forests have unique colors and offer a nice weather to be outsider and enjoy walks. Winter is the time for skiing.
How to get there:
There is an international airport, where many flights from different parts of the country and there are also international flights.By coach from all over the country. The trip can also be by car. National and provincial routes are excellent. The trip is safe.

Bariloche is the traditional destination for secondary students who finish school. That means that from June to October, the city and its circuits are full of young people.
This city has a wide variety of offers and services, and receives almost one million tourists every year, making tourism the most important local economic activity. On the other hand, it is an important scientific and technological development pole, national and International.
Placed next to the spectacular Lago Nahuel Huapi Lake, and surrounded by the beautiful National Park with the same name, it is a family destination for all tastes: walks with impressive views, cable railways, ski in the biggest South American slope – Catedral Hill -, a dense arrayán forest in Victoria Island, in the middle of Nahuel Huapi Lake, rafting, paragliding, horse riding on the hills, mountain bike, golf, trout fishing …The list is endless.
Bariloche´s you cannot miss
It is the most important ski centre in South America and one of the local icons of winter tourism. It is 19km from Bariloche. During the snow season, you can find a wide variety of services to practice skiing and snowboarding to enjoy the snow and wonderful sights. In the summer time, mountain climbing, rappelling or mountain bike are really worth the visit.
Circuito chico (Small circuit)
It is a traditional walk in the outskirts of Bariloche, made up of visits to natural viewpoints, such as Bahía López and Punto Panorámico; a ride on a cable railway in Campanario Hill; and the spectacular views of Llao Llao Hotel and San Eduardo Chapel. Another typical view is the Swiss colony, where on Wednesday and Sunday there is a fair and curanto (mapuche meal cooked under the ground).
Isla Victoria and Bosque de Arrayanes
From Pañuelo Port, a boat will travel through the Waters of the impressive Nahuel Huapi to get to Isla Victoria. Once you are there, you can take a walk along the paths that lead to cave paintings, beaches and old villages. The walk is completed by a boat ride to the Península de Quetrihué, where a dense arrallán forest of unique characteristics will captivate the visitor.
Cerro Leones
It is an old volcano situated 15 km from Bariloche, once inhabited by aborigines. Through walks, panoramic views from its sides and caverns are discovered.
On a cable railway trip you get to the top, where a spinning restaurant is situated. It offers one of the best views in Bariloche. There are also sled slopes, and Otto Kart (sliding on inflatable devices on the snow) to have fun during winter.
FIve coaches and a steam locomotive made in 1912 to take a trip not only in time but also through the dazzling environment in Bariloche. It travels through 40 km. And gets to Perito Moreno-Los Juncos station, in a trip where wild animals, lakes, river and unique vegetation can be observed.
Cerro Tronador
An excursion on this hill – the highest in the area, with 3,478 m.- will allow you to admire one of the most beautiful places in the Park: forests, lakes, beaches, mountains and cascades. And to see something curious: the black blizzard, which originates in the immaculate white on the top of Tronador Hill.
Challhuaco shelter
A magic place in the middle of a beautiful lenga forest. A warm place to share something delicious, enjoy the silence and be a part of nature. With car access and open all year through, it is situated 1200 meters above the sea level, in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It is the starting point of different outdoor activities.
Adventure tourism
Rafting on Río Manso, floating in Río Limay, kayaking in lakes and streamsboating on water mirrors, horse riding and mountain bike across forests and hills, paragliding in Catedral Hill, trekking Nahuel Huapi National Park, canopy in Circuito Chico. Bariloche is a vast place to practice adventure tourism.
Golf and fishing
Bariloche has three golf courses –Llao Golf, Arelauquen Golf and Pinar Golf-, internationally known and with a unique view. Nahuel Huapi National Park has an important basin of lakes and Rivers, with easy access coasts, especially appropriate for the reproduction and spreading of different types of fish which have a great sport value.
